Galveston County Fair & Rodeo
2021 - COVID-19 Plan B
The safety and health of exhibitors, volunteers, staff, visitors, community partners, and vendors is our number one concern. Plan B will not be open to the general public, but only attended by 4-H and FFA exhibitors, their immediate families, Ag Teachers, 4-H Leaders, Fair sponsors, GCF&R member and Fair Board of Directors and committee volunteers.
Public safety will be a priority. We will achieve this by doing a modified schedule, implementing and adhering to CDC guidelines, limiting attendance, practicing social distancing, and canceling events that draw large crowds such as carnival, commercial vendors and concerts.
All exhibitors, family members, 4H/FFA leaders, Board of Directors and committee volunteers will be recommended to wear face coverings while on the fairgrounds when not able to practice social distancing, but it is understood that this could change as requirements change with the local county health officials.
Access to the 2021 Jr Livestock Show
Wristbands will be required to attend the GCF&R Junior Livestock Shows. Each exhibitor will receive a color-coded wristband for each show they are entered along with 1 wristband for a family member at no charge; up to 3 additional wristbands per family per event can be purchased prior to event for $5 each show. If a person has a paid fair membership, they will not have to pay for the arm band to receive it.
Family has 3 exhibitors showing pigs, each exhibitor will get a wristband color coded for that show along with 1 wristband for a parent or guardian. They can purchase up to 3 additional wristbands for $5 each
Substitute will receive a wristband for the show they will participate along with 1 wristband for a parent or guardian
