Education Foundation Night
Commitments • Donations • Ad-Ons
Each year 4-H and FFA youth exhibitors purchase a market animal to raise and show at the Galveston County Fair & Rodeo. These youth exhibitors work very hard and encounter cost of feed, grooming supplies, shelter and other needs to raise “champion” livestock. This year we have experienced events unfold and these exhibitors will not be able to show their champion this year.
We can make these exhibitors feel like a “champion” by rewarding them for their hard work and commitment during this past year. We are asking as many individuals, groups, business owners and companies to help these youth by…
1. Buying Livestock Commitment (Animal Purchase)
2. Making a Donation or Add-On (Cash Donation)
Either of which will help these young exhibitors.
Commitments must include Buyer’s name, billing address, contact phone number and purchase price.
MEAT Processing: For processing of steers, swine, lambs and goats, the Buyer is responsible for their selection of processor, contacting the processor for processing instructions, paying all processing charges and picking up their processed animal in the time allotted by the processor. Once the animal is delivered to the processor in the buyer’s name, processing becomes the liability of the Buyer.
The youth exhibitors are responsible for the processing of rabbits, broilers and turkeys and making arrangements for the delivery of these animals to the buyer. Following is a partial list of local meat processors that many of us have use in the past. You may use the processor of YOUR choice.
