SERVING GALVESTON COUNTY YOUTH SINCE 1938

2024 FAIR DATES.. April 12-20, 2024

Commitments

Close to 600 4-H and FFA youth exhibitors have purchased at least one animal to raise and show at the Livestock Shows held during this year’s Fair & Rodeo.  The exhibitors encounter the cost of feed, shelter and any other needs required by their animal.  The top youth winners of seven different livestock shows - Rabbits, Chickens, Turkeys, Swine, Lambs, Goats and Steers - will sell their animals in the Junior Livestock Auction.  However, only 185 of the over 800 animals entered in the market divisions will go to auction.

The commitment process is designed to give the exhibitors whose animals do not make the Auction an opportunity to make money on their projects.  This money is usually used to pay the feed bill, to start the next year’s project, or to save for their future education.

Plan for the future… MAKE A COMMITMENT TO THE YOUTH OF GALVESTON COUNTY.
