We are needing teams for Cook-Off 2021.

To sign up for a Barbecue spot.  Go by the fair office from 9am-5pm.  Complete entry form and pay your entry fees.

This is a one-time cook-off opportunity.  This will not guarantee you a spot for future events.

ENTRY FEE: ALL EVENTS - $325.00 per team, per spot NON-REFUNDABLE

Brisket is Mandatory with your choice of other entries. One entry each per spot

 

ENTRIES MUST BE PAID BY MARCH 11, 2021 OR SPOT(S) WILL BE FORFEITED

6:15 p.m. BBQ CHICKEN DIVISION --- Thursday, April 8, 2021

1:00 p.m. “SPLIT THE POT” CHICKEN WING DIVISION --- Friday, April 9, 2021

6:30 p.m. PULLED PORK DIVISION --- Friday, April 9, 2021

11:15 a.m. PORK SPARE RIB DIVISION --- Saturday, April 10, 2021

2:45 p.m. BEEF BRISKET DIVISION --- Saturday, April 10, 2021

 

AWARDS:

TROPHIES & PRIZE MONEY WILL BE AWARDED AS FOLLOWS:

All teams making second cut will receive a Top 10% Award Ribbon in each division

 

1st through 5th Place teams in the Pulled Pork Division, BBQ Chicken Division, and Pork Spare Rib Division will receive Trophies & Prize Money as follows:

 

1st Place $ 725.00

2nd Place $ 400.00

3rd Place $ 300.00

4th Place $ 250.00

5th Place $ 200.00

 

1st through 5th Place teams in the Brisket Division will receive Trophies & Prize Money as follows:

 

1st Place $ 1200.00

2nd Place $ 450.00

3rd Place $ 375.00

4th Place $ 300.00

5th Place $ 225.00

There will be an overall trophy given to the best overall cooking team.

 

TIEBREAKER RULES FOR THE OVERALL TROPHY AND POINTS FOR TRIPLE

Each year the GCFR hosts a Seafood Cook-off the first week of fair and a BBQ cook-off the second week. These cook-offs are highly regarded and have a waiting list for new teams. Congratulations to our  winners listed below.
